The sheets looked clean when we arrived, which gave me a bit of hope for our weekend escape. however, that optimism quickly faded.
Unfortunately, the room was plagued by flies that buzzed constantly, ruining any chance of a decent night's sleep amidst a lack of staff support.

Great family-friendly atmosphere
We had a wonderful stay at this family-owned motel, which offered a charming, close-to-the-water vibe. The room was comfortable, and the small pool was perfect for our daughter. Although we loved the close proximity to the carnival and enjoyed the fireworks, it would have been nice if the kitchenette had more kitchenware provided for cooking. Overall, we appreciated the friendly staff and the inviting local feel.

Do recommend for a brief stopover
Comfortable room, ideal location, easy access to walking along the water and beach, with 24-hour reception available for guests.
The two queen size beds were smaller than expected, and staff interactions were mostly informal.

It was just a smart choice for a mini-break over the weekend in Chincoteague, great for the money. The air conditioner worked well, at least it kept us cool despite its noise. Check in ahead of time if you arrive late, no one is around to help you.

Great location on the main street, providing easy access to local attractions, and a quiet atmosphere even during peak summer days. The pool area was clean, which stood out for an older establishment. Self check-in made late arrivals hassle-free. While the facilities were basic, the value offered was excellent, especially coupled with freshly prepared salads at mealtime.

The King Room was pretty decent. Beds were comfy and I liked the kitchenette, but it had no supplies. The fridge was a bit dirty, so that was a letdown. The bathroom was okay, but it could use some updates. The staff was friendly, though, which was a plus. Overall, it served its purpose for our stay.

missingWrote a review on 30 Julcleanliness issues
The two queen size beds in my room felt more like doubles, which cramped my group a bit. Cleanliness issues were noticeable, with hair left in the sheets and some areas in the bathroom clearly not cleaned in a long time, including mold around the tub liner. The washer and dryer were out of service, and the pool was closed during my stay—no announcement was made about that. Also, the furniture looked dated, and I found chips in the dressers, which gave an overall neglected impression.

I truly appreciated the welcoming atmosphere and cleanliness. The staff were attentive, ensuring my comfort at all times. The location was perfect for accessing the pier where I enjoyed my coffee every morning.
More comfortable seating in the common areas is needed.
